The Curator Behind the Sound
Music has been part of my story for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing piano and saxophone before eventually finding my way behind the turntables in 2003. DJing became another way for me to experience music, and ultimately, the one that felt most like me.
I'm Tammy, better known as DJ Twin T. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida and now based in New Jersey, I've always been someone who enjoys exploring, creating, and figuring out how things work. I'm naturally hands on, a little particular about the details, and usually have some kind of idea or project in the works.
When I'm not DJing, I'm probably spending time with family, planning my next trip, watching a documentary, working on a DIY project, or exploring the latest technology. And somehow, even when I'm traveling, music usually finds its way into the itinerary. I love discovering new sounds, digging through record stores, and experiencing how music connects to different places and cultures.
At the heart of it, I genuinely enjoy experiencing something new, whether it's a new place, something I've learned, or simply turning an idea in my head into something tangible. Those interests may extend beyond the booth, but they're all part of the person behind DJ Twin T.

Every event has its own personality, its own story, and its own energy. My role isn’t simply to play songs, it’s to understand the room, anticipate the moments, and create a soundtrack that feels authentic to the people experiencing it.
Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, private celebration, or curated vinyl experience, my goal remains the same: to create moments people remember long after the music ends.

Along the way, I’ve also shared my knowledge by teaching aspiring DJs at Scratch DJ Academy and have continued investing in my craft, refining not only my technical skills but also my ability to create experiences tailored to each client.
